Shelter from the Storm Needs Your Help to Open in January 2019
Homeless charity Shelter from the Storm has found a new home in Archway, London.
Established in 2007, the free emergency night shelter had previously operated from an industrial estate near King’s Cross for more than eight years.
Holland Harvey Architects has worked with SFTS to come up with a holistic design that has its homeless guests at heart. Developer Ennismore has provided SFTS with financial support, a quantity surveyor and a project manager.
Other contributors include Quadrant Building Control, MEP Hoare Lea, structural engineer Price + Myers, RBA Acoustics and Greenhatch Group.
The new site is due to open in January 2019 but the charity still needs some help to get the project over the line.
If you can assist with the provision of bathroom and kitchen fit-out, furniture, ply/plasterboard, fencing and paint, e-mail chloe@hollandharvey.com
