Changing Places Consultation – have your say

The government has announced a Consultation on proposals to make a Changing Places accessible WC compulsory under Part M of the Building Regulations for large buildings such as shopping centres, sports stadiums and cinemas.
The requirement will depend on the floor area of a building or its seating capacity and whether it is new, being extended by more than 25% or undergoing a change of use or significant alteration. The consultations contain proposals for a 12m² facility and for a 9m² room for smaller buildings. The government estimates that the cost of a Changing Places WC would be between £28,700 and £45,000.
Take part in the consultation by 21st July at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/changing-places-toilets .
