PART M – MHCLG Publishes New Research
New research has been carried out to support the evaluation of Part M and Approved Document M of the Building Regulations. This research runs to 179 pages and comprises:
Part 1: the benefits of accessible housing
This evaluates what evidence is available on the benefits of accessible housing, and where further evidence is needed.
Part 2: the effectiveness of current guidance for buildings other than dwellings
This looks at the effectiveness of current guidance for buildings other than dwellings, to understand how well current guidance for Part M is meeting the needs of disabled people.
