Nottinghamshire Police and Fire and Rescue Service Joint Headquarters
Quadrant Project Manager Andy Hill says:
‘It’s been a real privilege and to work on, and to contribute to, a project for two organisations that are paramount to the safety and well-being of the community. The new building will provide a fantastic working space for all the occupants, with excellent facilities.
In terms of the construction process, it has been a well-coordinated and delivered scheme, but of course, like many schemes of this size, there’s been the odd hiccup on the way to achieving compliance. However, as I have mentioned many times before, it’s much easier to overcome problems encountered on the way when you have great working relationships with the teams involved, because you’re all pulling in the same direction. I value the close working relationship I have with Gleeds and I believe this partnership really contributed to achieving the technical excellence required on a project of this magnitude.
It’s been so rewarding to project manage this scheme and carry out the site inspections from the very beginning through to occupation, making the Building Control process integral to the success of this terrific project.’
